Barnyard Millet

Pulav 

Ingredients :

  1. Barnyard millet rice – 100 g
  2. Onion, carrot, potato – 1 each
  3. Beans, green chili – 3
  4. Pepper powder 1 tsp
  5. Cashew nuts -10 g
  6. Clove- cardamom-cinnamon – 4 in each.ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp, curry leaves- 2
  7. Salt & water 

 Preparation : 

  1. Soack millet for 30 min.
  2. Sauté all the spices in pressure cooker with
  3.  little oil & ginger garlic paste.
  4. Add chopped veggies & cooked for 5 min. add soacked millet rice to above vegetable mixture & stir it for 3 minutes.
  5. Add 4 cup of water & cook for 5 – 6 whistles. Garnish with coriander & serve with raitha.

Millet carrots Truffle

Ingredients :

  1. Barnyard millet flour – 50g
  2. sugar – 60g
  3. carrots – 100g
  4. almonds – 10g
  5. cardamom powder – 1g
  6. coconut powder – 50g & water. 

  Preparations: 

  1. Sauté the carrots on pan until raw flavor goes off.
  2. Add sugar & cook until it melts.
  3. Add barnyard flour + coconut powder & cardamom 
  4. Powder Mix well. Then make lemon sized balls.Coat or roll to make small balls.roll these truffles into desiccated coconut powder. Serve a healthy snack.
