Foxtail millet

Muruku(चकली)

Ingredients :

  1. Foxtail millet flour– 100 g
  2. moong dal – 30 g
  3. urad dal- 20 g
  4. red chili powder- 2 g
  5. ajwain seeds – 1 g
  6. turmeric – 2 g
  7. papadkhar – 5 g
  8. salt & sesame seeds – 3 g

  Preparation : 

  1. Mix all the ingredients + add warm water slowly to form smooth dough.
  2. Heat the oil then fill murukku maker with dough.
  3. Press the murukku maker on oil & deep fry.
  4. Take off & serve as a healthy snack

Cutlet

Ingredients :

  1. Foxtail millet– 100 g
  2. Potatoes – 20 g
  3. Carrots – 20 g
  4. Beans – 20 g
  5. Salt – 2 g
  6. Pepper – 5 g
  7. Chat masala – 5 g
  8. Bread crumbs – 20 g
  9. Green chili – 5 g
  10. Water & oil

 Preparation :

  1. Cook all the chopped vegetable & millet grain
  2. (1:3 water ratio)For 25 – 30 min.separately.
  3. Fry – ginger garlic paste, sliced green chilies in oil until brown colure.
  4. Add cooked millet, chat masala, peppar & cooked 
  5. vegetables & mix them well .
