Pearl millet(बाजरी)

Upma (बाजरीचा उपमा)

Ingredients : 

  1. Pearl millet rawa – 1 cup
  2. Onion – 1. Green chili
  3. Carrot, beans, ginger – 1 tsp
  4. Mustard seeds
  5. Black gram dal
  6. Bengal gram dal – 1 tsp
  7. Curry leaves, water & oil

Preparation :

  1. Roast the pearl millet rawa till turn brown
  2. Heat oil for 5 minutes & add mustard seeds, chana daal,
  3. Chopped onion, green chili, black gram dal & curry leaves. Fry for 5 min.
  4. Add finely chopped carrots, beans & potatos & put aside for 2 -3 min.
  5. Add 4 cups of water with salt. Boil water.
  6. Add roasted rawa & cook well till it becomes soft.
  7. Serve with pickle.

Pearl millet thalipith(थालीपीठ)

Ingredients :

  1. Pearl millet rawa – 1 cup
  2. Onion – 1. Green chili
  3. Carrot, beans, ginger – 1 tsp
  4. Mustard seeds
  5. Black gram dal
  6. Bengal gram dal – 1 tsp
  7. Curry leaves
  8. Water & oil

Preparation :

  1. Add all the ingredients including warm water
  2. & knead into soft dough.
  3. Make small balls & on plastic sheet apply some oil
  4. Press it into a flat circle & create hole in the center.
  5. Medium thikness. Shallow fry in oil
  6. Serve with chutney.
