 Sorghum khichadi

Ingredients –

  1. Sorghum khichdi rawa – 1 cup
  2. Moong dal – ½ cup
  3. Mustard seeds – 1 tbs
  4. Onion 1
  5. Green chilli – 2 
  6. Tomato – 1

 Preparation: 

  1. Soak green moon dal & sorghum rawa for 15 min.
  2. On a pan put oil & add mustard seeds + onion + green chilies +
  3.  Ginger garlic paste + tomatoes + curry leaves + turmeric powder
  4. Fry it for 5 min.
  5. Serve with coconut chutney.

Sorghum steamed vada (वाफेवरचा वडा)

Ingredients –

1 Sorghum grains – 1 cup

2 Bengal gram flour – ¼ cup

3 Pepper – ¼ cup

4 chili powder – 2 tsp

5 cumin seeds – ¼ tsp , oil & salt

 Preparation: 

  1. Soak sorghum grains for 30 min. & steam it for 20min.
  2. Make paste of steamed sorghum
  3. Add Bengal gram flour + salt + pepper + chili powder + Cumin seeds to above mixture.
  4. Make small balls of mixture & made into vada.
  5. Fry in hot oil medium flame.
  6. Serve it with tomato or peanut chutney.
